Know-How-Transfer
Once a year, the Foundation organises a symposium focusing on topical issues relating to the cities. Future issues, approaches to solving current problems, and the result of the surveys conducted by the Foundation are discussed by representatives from the worlds of culture, politics, business and society. These fruitful discussions are made available to a wide specialist readership through the “Lebendige Stadt” journal.

Congress 2024
On 11 April 2024, the 21st International Cities Congress will take place at the new Jewish Campus in Berlin.
The theme of this year's congress is "The Immigration City: Integration as a Key".
Germany is a country of immigration. Many people find refuge here from displacement and violence, others come to work here as skilled labour. In addition to great opportunities, there are also challenges. We would like to discuss the key topics of "housing", "education" and "work" with high-calibre speakers. A comprehensive programme with exciting discussions awaits you at the Jewish Campus.
The award ceremony will traditionally take place the evening before. The theme of this year's foundation prize is "The most attractive rail station environment".
Thank you for the numerous registrations - the congress is fully booked.
