Know-How-Transfer
Once a year, the Foundation organises a symposium focusing on topical issues relating to the cities. Future issues, approaches to solving current problems, and the result of the surveys conducted by the Foundation are discussed by representatives from the worlds of culture, politics, business and society. These fruitful discussions are made available to a wide specialist readership through the “Lebendige Stadt” journal.

Action strategies for districts Location: Biosphäre, Potsdam Presentation of the Foundation Award: The Most Digital City Location: Orangery Palace, Potsdam
Climate protection is one of the world’s most pressing problems, and German Chancellor Angela Merkel has said that climate protection is “everyone’s business.” So how can the municipalities help to tackle this global issue? What strategies exist for city districts? How does intelligent traffic management work? How can cities make their public transport systems fit for the future? What about “cradle to cradle” waste avoidance? These are just some of the questions we look forward to discussing with you at the event in Potsdam.
